Logitech has long-embraced a willingness to experiment and pivot in terms of creating more engaging and effective work environments. The company embraces coordinated in-office days for teams, called “Gravity Days,” as well as hot-desking, hoteling, and activity-based workspaces. While employee satisfaction with this hybrid set-up is high in some locations, it was less robust at their newest US campus. Logitech San Jose opened in 2022 and has always been a fully hybrid campus.
Logitech partnered with PLASTARC on a 60-day sprint to increase hybrid work engagement in San Jose. The project started with a peer review of attendance and sentiment data, which revealed that even on high-occupancy days, workers weren’t fully engaged. PLASTARC discovered that low leadership visibility, in addition to challenges tied to commuting and office layout, were contributing factors. Through employee interviews, we identified personas and motivations driving attendance, such as social connection, leadership access, and in-office events.
PLASTARC led coaching sessions with Logitech’s internal teams to refine Gravity Days and resolve friction points. Solutions included revisiting space layout, improving wayfinding and acoustic comfort, and balancing social programming with flexible work, all to better support hybrid collaboration. The final deliverable offered a roadmap for aligning workplace design and policy with real employee needs and behaviors.
